Paul Catania's journey as a jewelry designer and craftsman started at a young age. His dad is an artist and a novice rock hound. He grew up surrounded by crystals, fossils, rocks and polished gems. The natural beauty of the stones attracted him. He was not only attracted to the the beauty of the stones but intrigued by metal as well. Soon he began experimenting with silversmithing and alloying metals in his basement. From then on, Paul Catania knew that jewelry was his life’s passion. Paul Catania is a Graduate Gemologist from GIA Santa Monica and holds an Associate Degree from The Fashion Institute of Technology (F.I.T.) in New York City. Paul is proud to be born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. In 2010, he started his own shop P Cat Custom Inc. All of the manufacturing is done in New York City or made in the USA. He creates one-of-a kind custom pieces for exclusive Madison Avenue jewelers and he is one of the leading manufacturers for various CFDA members.
